We are looking for a junior Java developer who wants to take on challenging and business-critical systems within the finance industry. As a Java developer, you will work in a backend environment with various business services related to payments and transactions, among other things. The role involves both new development and maintenance of business-critical systems where both modern and legacy technologies are used. The company primarily works with Java EE, but also Cobol. The work is conducted within an agile framework (SAFe), where the developer is responsible for their tasks from start to finish. An analytical ability and a willingness to understand both technology and business logic are required.

You will be part of a cohesive and open team, where you work closely together and learn from each other. The team consists of backend and frontend developers, testers, a team coach, and an agile product owner. The company has a flat organization that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a positive work environment. The company is located in central Malmö, where you will enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and a familial vibe.

We are looking for someone with at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.

We believe that you:

·     Have good knowledge of Java

·     Have a genuine interest in technology

·     Are analytical and solution-oriented

·     Dare to be self-driven and take responsibility for your work

·     Enjoy and want to work with complex systems and large data sets

·     Are curious about business systems and integrations

Bonus if you:

·     Have experience with Cobol

·     Have an interest in databases

·     Have experience/knowledge in JavaScript and React

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday but with the ambition to transition to the client after 9-12 months.
